GULF COAST:
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
AMR is a valued partner to the communities in which we operate. Through various programs and partnerships, we continue to invest resources, time and personnel.
Training with Local Fire Departments
AMR South MS Training Center Lead Instructor Kayla Tanner, NRP, FP-C, CCP was at Harrison County Fire Rescue providing training on pre-hospital care for strokes. This training is offered to all Fire Departments in Harrison, Hancock and Stone Counties. The training course provides CEUs and counts toward the refreshers for those that attend.
These types of trainings with our Fire Department partners helps create a unified and one-team treatment approach for our community.

AMR South Mississippi Promotes CPR Safety with AED Donation
AMR South Mississippi has donated an automatic external defibrillator (AED) to the Harrison County Board of Supervisors for use in the county youth court. This donation is part of AMR’s efforts to increase cardiac survival rates in South Mississippi.
AMR Director of Business Development and Government Affairs Julia Clarke states, “If performed immediately, bystander assisted CPR can double or even triple the chance of survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The addition of this AED device in the youth court will help bring lifesaving technology to members of our community and, hopefully, inspire residents to become CPR certified.”

“Decorating our room. I teach the a votech EMT class for several high schools that meet at an abandoned elementary school that has been repurposed. There are several other votech classes there. I am currently buying cleaning supplies and working on decorations out of pocket myself. I’m slowly having to buy decorations due to priorities. We have several high school students in this class that didn’t have shoes or could afford to eat everyday. I prioritized breakfast before decor for them. We would appreciate being considered.”
Intensive Training prepares South MS first responders for on-the-water accidents
AMR trains with our public safety partners for all different types of emergency responses.
Stone County Fire Coordinator, Todd Cospelich says the objective is for all departments to work as a unit. “Our overall goal rather than train independently and separately is that we can train together so when we have or if we have the opportunity or need to work together then we’ll be able to do it,” said Cospelich.
